Beauty and blogging have long been obscure passions for me. And while I highly enjoyed both, I was an avid researcher and user, but never the vocal advocate. After years of repeated trial and error, there have been many times a briefly lit desire to express my thoughts. Though the flames licked at my ambition to blog, they were never able to catch fire. Creating MYNT and THIME was my first brave step into the blogging jungle - and writing this post is my great leap.

If there ever was a recipe for skin disaster, it would be mine. My skin is the ultimate trinity of problematic skin issues - oily, acne-prone, and highly sensitive. That being said, I have sought high and low (and all over the globe) for methods in achieving the flawless skin every girl seeks. In my journey, I have come across a multitude of hits and misses. And though my skin is far from perfect, I aim to share my experiences with those who seek to refine their beauty and skincare regimen.  


Eyeliner is the most basic necessity in every beauty kit. My search for a waterproof, long-wearing, color-staying eyeliner began in my first year of college. As with most beginners, I began with drugstore pencil liners - too intimidated by the skilled precision of liquid liners. When I say that I have oily skin, my eyelids are no exception. I soon found that within hours, pencil liner would melt away and leave me with that faded-she-must-have-slept-in-her-make-up smudge. At some point, I was so frustrated that I abandoned eyeliners completely.

The Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner has a thin marker-tip for that barely there everyday look, but easily allows a bolder and more dramatic look with its precise quick-dry formula. No crusting as it dries (as I've experienced with other liquid liners). No smudges - ever. And just as its name states, it stays all day. And night. Through sweaty summer afternoons, through overnight parties, through rain and shine. I simply cannot look for more in an eyeliner. I own at least 2 at any given time, one in my purse and one in my bathroom. Where I go, Stila goes.
